And we now hear that the Singapore Sands is on track to open in March next year. Could this be another excuse to come to Asia again? Chairman Sheldon Adelson has announce that the opening of his newest casino palace is on track despite some delays due to heavy rain. The opening date of the Marina Bay Sands might be delayed by a couple of weeks, if that. The Las Vegas Sands Group is betting a whopping US$5 billion on a casino resort in Singapore. Anderson has already bet big in Macau (as we have seen first hand- he is certainly not holding back here). Singapore is the second prong in his Asian strategy.
The Marina Bay Sands looks likely to become a hot destination for people looking for a Las Vegas type holiday in South-East Asia. There are 3 hotel towers with a sky park, ‘floating’ crystal pavilions, a Museum, shops, high end restaurants, big live shows, night clubs and a big casino of course. Plus meeting rooms,conference, convention and exhibitions space ofr the business bods. Well- we are certainly going to check it out if we get the chance..... |
